The jolly old elf made his annual appearance at Surrey Memorial Hospital tuesday afternoon to bring smiles and toys to young children who may have to stay at the hospital over the Christmas season.

With his reindeer at home to rest up for the long Christmas Eve night ahead and his sleigh getting last minute repairs, Santa, along with his helper Giself, flew by Helijet with members of the B.C. Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) across the lower mainland and Vancouver Island, with stops in Victoria, Nanaimo, Surrey , New Westminster and Vancouver to bring smiles to all the children and adults they met.

After nearly two hours at SMH, Santa set off again, his next stop, Royal Columbian Hospital in New West.
