NORTH DELTA — A weekend soccer tournament helped raise funds to buy equipment for cancer treatment at Surrey Memorial Hospital.
The eighth annual Ashok Memorial Tournament and South Indian Food Fair was held Saturday (July 18) at Mackie Park in North Delta.
The annual tourney, hosted by the Ashok Memorial Foundation, raises funds to assist cancer patients at Surrey Memorial Hospital in memory of Ashok Philip Abraham, who died of cancer in 2007.
This year's event also included a volleyball tourney and music performances, along with a good fair.
