Two teams of sharpshooters from the South Surrey-based 907 Black Knight Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron returned home from a provincial competition last weekend in Vernon, with one finishing on the podium.

One five-person team placed second overall – the 907A squad, made up of Alyssa Chan, Morgan Dyke, Katharine Burnard, Teresa Liao and Mark Lin – while a second group placed sixth overall.

The sixth-place finishing 907B team included Alexander Deschamps, Sunny Hou, Sofia Antoniou, Catherine Cui and John Calbick.

Dyke also placed second in the junior division, while Liao was third in the open category.

The squadron was able to send two teams to the provincial meet after both qualified at an earlier zone competition.
