SOUTH SURREY — A month-long fundraiser at Indian restaurant Rasoi has raised $1,500 for the ER at Peace Arch Hospital.
On June 17, restaurant owners Harpreet and Sulinder Atwal handed a cheque for that amount to Tracy Penner, of Peace Arch Hospital and Community Health Foundation (online at http://www.pahfoundation.ca).
During the month of May, operators of the South Surrey restaurant raised the money by collecting $1 from each bill, as they've done for the past seven years.
