Storm girls raising money for nationals

SURREY – Young fastpitch players in Surrey have been given the opportunity of a lifetime but the girls need help to get there. The Surrey Storm 2001B team is heading to the Western Championships in Winnipeg from Aug. 6-9. Because the Westerns only welcome two of the top teams in each province, most girls on the ‘B’ team will never get another opportunity to compete in the high-profile tournament.

The team has set up a fundraising website. You can donate at Gofundme. com/surreystorm01b. Email the team’s fundraising coordinator at ballmom81@hotmail.ca or call 778-823-5233. Beau Simpson
