Suspect sought in sex assault

SURREY - Police are looking for the public's help in a sexual assault investigation in Newton.

A woman flagged down a Surrey Mountie on July 7, shortly after 1 a.m., and told him she'd just been sexually assaulted in the 6600-block of 140th Street.

The suspect is described as white, in his mid-30s, with a large build, bald head, mustache and possibly a goatee.

He was wearing khaki cargo shorts, a colourful T-shirt and is believed to be deaf and mute.

He was driving a four-door brown or beige sedan with a blue and white license plate BWXM606 of unknown origin and police believe he may be targeting prostitutes.
