WHALLEY - A 17-year-old boy was beaten and stabbed in the stomach after two groups of youth were seen fighting near Whalley Athletic Park Sunday night.
The victim told police he was meeting friends near Gateway SkyTrain station, and when he arrived, was threatened by two girls.
An argument between the two groups of teens escalated, police say, leading to the two girls allegedly assaulting the victim. It's then believed another 17-year-old boy, who was friends with the two girls, stabbed the victim. The victim remains in hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
