SURREY - Original art by Robert Bateman will be auctioned during Evening for Autism, a second annual fundraiser hosted by Central City Brewers + Distillers.
A tiger painting (pictured) created by the celebrated wildlife artist will be a prized item for bid at the gala, set for Saturday, May 24 at SFU Surrey.The painting was commissioned for the gala, to also include auctioned art by Renato Muccillo, Nikol Haskova and Rod Charlesworth. All works, including Bateman's, can be viewed at White Rock Gallery, 1247 Johnston Rd.Funds raised at the event will help start a Simon Fraser University (SFU) clinical trial of HBOT (hyperbaric oxygen therapy) for children with autism.The brewer is also running its Imperial IPA for Autism campaign, in which $2 from the sale of each bottle will go toward the trial.For gala details and tickets, visit centralcitybrewing. com/autism.
