There will be no luminous magic lighting up the night at the Cloverdale Fairgrounds this Christmas season.

Instead, organizers of Lumagica say their dazzling light experience will return next year.

“We have postponed Lumagica for this season,” said Anne-Marie Davidson, sales and marketing rep for MK Illumination Inc., the company who puts on Lumagica.

“We are creating a whole new design for 2024,” Davidson added.

Davidson agreed that a lot can happen in a year, but the plan right now is for MK Illumination to bring their light show back to the Fairgrounds for next Christmas season.

Last year, MK Illumination opened Lumagica Cloverdale Nov. 25 and it ran until Dec. 30. The year before—the 2021 show—was the company’s first exhibition in Canada.

MK Illumination is an Austrian-based company that runs similar events around the world.
