SURREY — The annual Blues for the Bank concert/fundraiser is set to happen again on Saturday, Jan. 20 at Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel.

The musical event, which raises money for the Tiny Bundles program operated by Surrey Food Bank, has been going since 2006, featuring the band AgentC and Top Secret.

This year, Surrey-based Aequitas Singers social justice choir will also perform at the event.

“As with previous years, all of the money from ticket sales (every penny!) goes directly to the Surrey Food Bank,” says a post at bluesforthebank.com.

“Many guests in attendance take that as an opportunity to go above and beyond the price of admission and make additional individual contributions for a great cause.”

Last year’s event raised close to $8,000 for the Tiny Bundles program, specifically designed for pregnant moms and families with babies aged newborn to one year.

Tickets are $35 for Blues for the Bank. Call 604-501-5566 or buy online at bluesforthebank.com or tickets.surrey.ca.
