Ladner’s Genesis Theatre is saying thanks for another great year with an evening of music later this month.

On June 21, the venue is holding its annual Community Appreciation Concert to acknowledge the support of volunteers, clients, staff and the community over the past year.

The two-hour concert will be split into two sets, the first showcasing some talented local entertainers and the second featuring a performance by Celtic music group the Stephanie Cadman Trio.

Performers in the first set include vocalists Bryce Malenstyn and Claire Bidulka, dancer Halina Grund, and the Delta Secondary School Choir under the direction of Catherine Campbell.

Featured performer Stephanie Cadman most recently appeared on the Genesis Theatre stage last November as part of Barney Bentall’s Cariboo Express, impressing the audience with her fiddle playing, voice and energetic dancing.

Widely recognized as one of Canada’s top violinists, Cadman has appeared as a fiddler and tap dancer with symphonies across North America, including the Kennedy Center’s National Symphony Orchestra.

Tickets are $15 and available at genesis-theatre.tickit.ca. Showtime is 7 p.m.
