Surrey’s 6th annual Tree Lighting Festival on Saturday, Nov. 21, from noon to 7pm, at City Hall Plaza. Entrance to the festival is free. Join Mayor Hepner as she lights up the 55-foot tree at 6:45pm. “Realtors Care” Blanket Drive runs from Nov. 16 to 23. “This is the largest and longest running blanket drive in the region. Since 1994, this event has helped more than 250,000 people in need.” Drop off donations at real estate offices from Hope to Squamish (list at http://www.rebgv.org/blanket-drive-drop-locations). Donations can include new and gently used blankets and sleeping bags, coats, warm clothing, hats, gloves, scarves, new socks and underwear. “All donations collected within a community go to charities in that community.”

Surrey Museum is hosting “Museum After Dark” on Thursday, Nov. 19, “a unique event inviting guests into the vault, and to enjoy local wine, tapas and good company.
