Film festival June 29-30

Surrey's own Oscars – and 22 movie screenings – take place

It’s like Surrey’s own Oscars.

The 2012 Surrey International Film Festival will screen 22 short films from around the world on June 29–30 at the Surrey Arts Centre (13750 88 Ave.)

The top films will be awarded a variety of prizes and will be guaranteed a screening at the Emerging Filmmakers Forum after the festival on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.

The awards ceremony gala will take place on June 30 starting at 6 p.m.
