Admission is free at a Cineplex Community Day event Saturday morning (Oct. 22) at Surrey's Cineplex Odeon Strawberry Hill Cinemas.

Donations collected will support the chain's national charitable partner, WE, as will sales of popcorn, candy, drinks and "Change" bracelets (all available for $2 each).

The theatre will be showing "Zootopia," "The Finest Hours," "The Jungle Book" and "The Good Dinosaur," starting at 9 a.m. or a little later, depending on the movie.

Cineplex theatres across B.C. are taking part in Saturday's special event.

Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis only. All locations will return to regular programming in the afternoon.

"As one of Canada’s largest employers of young people, we are inspired by youth who take a starring role in making a difference in the world around them,” stated Ellis Jacob, president and CEO of Cineplex Entertainment. "We are proud to partner with WE and help to support their local program in Canada."
