Nicola Cavendish stars in 4000 Miles

Growing up and growing old

Arts Club Theatre's production of 4000 Miles opens in Surrey this week.

Arts Club Theatre Company On Tour brings 4000 Miles to Surrey this week.

The play stars Nicola Cavendish, in a touching story about a sprightly 91-year-old New Yorker and her 21-year-old grandson. Leo, who has just cycled across the country, shows up unannounced on Vera’s doorstep with a bike, no money, and nowhere to go. In time, these unlikely roommates stop squabbling and, with humour and compassion, help each other navigate their changing worlds.

The show runs Feb. 17-27 at the Surrey Arts Centre, 13750 88 Ave. Tuesday to Saturday at 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at 4 p.m.

Tickets are $25 to $47, including all fees. Call 604-501-5566 or visit tickets.surrey.ca
