They hit hard and they danced hard.

Hip hop/street dancers took centre stage at the Surrey Arts Centre on April 11 during the ongoing Surrey Festival of Dance.

Now in its 49th year, the competition features 10,000 dancers performing acrodance, classical ballet, modern, international, jazz, hip hop/street, tap and stage routines.

The festival continues until April 28 (but not during Easter Week) and includes the No Borders Group Dance Challenge and awards presentation on May 9.
