Canadian comedian Russell Peters has announced the launch of his new "Almost Famous" world tour of Canada this fall, with a Vancouver show in the mix.

The general on-sale for all announced is Monday, June 16 at 10 a.m., via Ticketmaster.ca.

A "military discount" is available at the Rogers Arena ticket centre only, with appropriate ID. These seats are subject to availability.

Peters' show in Vancouver will be on Sept. 27 at Pepsi Live at Rogers Arena.

"The Russell Peters Almost Famous World Tour" will feature all new material, plus Peters' lightning-fast improv with the audience.

"I like to interact with the front rows," Peters said in a statement. "I use the interaction to take me from bit to bit. Some guys go onstage with a script and don't deviate from it. That's not my style. I have my set and know what I want to cover; I just use the audience to move me in certain directions.  It's very collaborative and each show is unique."

Peters can currently be seen as a judge on NBC's Last Comic Standing, alongside Roseanne Barr and Keenen Ivory Wayans. He can also be seen in Jon Favreau's critically acclaimed movie, Chef.
