SURREY — Jan. 31 is the deadline for entries in the "Silver Screen Classics" art competition hosted by the Arts Council of Surrey.
The call is for "original artwork inspired by movie posters from the 1930s and 1940s" in a range of mediums. Contest prizes range from $50 honourable mention to $200 for first place.
The competition entry fee is $10 per piece, with a maximum three works allowed per artist.
The winning works will be showcased at Newton Cultural Centre starting Feb. 18.
