Big Rigs For Kids Lighted Truck Parade at Surrey Civic Plaza, 13450 104th Ave, on Sunday, Dec. 3, from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Annual event features lighted trucks in Downtown Surrey, with music by Chris Hamilton at 4:30pm. Christmas Carol sing-a-long from 5-6pm. “Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol”: Peninsula Productions does staged reading of Tom Mula’s tale of “Marley’s heroic behind-the-scenes efforts, aided by a Bogle, a malicious little hell-sprite with an agenda of his own. Alzheimer Society of B.C. seeks volunteers to help Surrey families live well with dementia. The society is looking for a volunteer to facilitate its local caregiver support group. “This involves leading a monthly meeting, maintaining group attendance records and using Society materials to provide information to the group.” A time commitment of three to six hours per month is required.
