Surrey RCMP appeal to public to identify arson suspects (with video)

SURREY — Surrey Mounties need help to identify two arson suspects in connection with a house fire in Whalley during the summer.

"Officers were only recently able to retrieve significant video surveillance footage which allegedly shows two suspects setting fire to a residence," Cpl. Bert Paquet said.

The fire happened in the 10200-block of 143A Street at roughly 1 a.m. July 15. The house was fully engulfed when police arrived and firefighters were struggling to contain it.

"No persons were found inside the residence," Paquet said.

Police ask anyone who recognizes either suspect in the video to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
