'Surrey Shines' this Saturday

SURREY - Rockers, dancers, soloists and one magician will be featured during Surrey Shines, the annual youth talent showcase.

The event is set for this Saturday, Feb. 1, at Surrey Arts Centre, starting at 7 p.m. "The magic, music and dancing will guarantee a fun and mesmerizing experience for the whole family," reads an event invite from the Youth Arts Council of Surrey.Tickets are $15.50 for adults and $12.50 for youth, via tickets.surrey.ca. Doors at the venue open at 6:30 p.m. The two-hour showcase will feature 16 acts picked during auditions held this month. Performers include Cassidy Poulton, Xba Dance Company, Panic Picnic, Switch to Black, Spiral Dance Company, Angela Boer, Just 4 Kicks dance school, Alexis Lynn, Nhemy Cepeda, Billy Hsueh, Alanna & Brianne, The Cut Losses, Sudnya Dance Academy, Richard Tichelman, Miguel Maravilla and Charity Guy, and Victoria Strachan.
