Cloverdale Antique and Collectible Show comes to the Agriplex this Saturday.

1. Old coins, vintage toys, stamps and other things will be bought and sold during the Cloverdale Antique and Collectible Show, a second event planned by Greg Finn and Vic Steele as part of their Canadian Antique and Collectible Club venture. The event, at the fairgrounds’ Agriplex on Saturday, Jan. 14, will feature close to 140 tables from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a special “early bird” hour starting at 8 a.m. “We hold four shows a year there, and the first one we did was at the Show Barn, where we’ll return after this show,” Finn told the Now. Admission is $5 after 9 a.m. and $10 for the early-birds. For more event details, call 778-347-6794 or visit Cacsgroup.com.

2. Violinist Simone Lamsma (pictured) is featured during “Symphonic Dances,” the title of a concert that sees Vancouver Symphony Orchestra return to Surrey’s Bell Performing Arts Centre on Sunday evening (Jan. 15), starting at 8 p.m. Guest conductor Otto Tausk is the man with the baton for this one, a musical showcase works by Wagner (“The Flying Dutchman: Overture”), Rachmaninoff (“Symphonic Dances”) and more. Look for ticket details and concert notes at Vancouversymphony.ca, or call 604-876-3434.

3. In case you missed it, Surrey Dodgeball League is looking to get more first-timers involved in the sport in 2017, and a second “Revenge of the Noobs” tournament is planned for Tuesday, Jan. 17 at Forsyth Road Elementary gym, at 10730 139 St., Surrey, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Admission is free, and no previous playing experience is necessary. Sign up by emailing league founder Kevin Vo at kvo@surreydodgeball.ca. For more details, visit the group’s website (Surreydodgeball.ca) or Facebook.com/surreydodgeballleague.
