The Now took notice when Lady Gaga performed at a Surrey nightclub in the summer of 2008.
At the time of her show at the Mirage in Guildford, on a Monday night in August, the New York-based dance-pop artist had a huge hit with “Just Dance.”
She performed in Surrey on the eve of the release of her debut album, The Fame.
“Gaga, 22, is known for her racy live shows, which have been described as a form of shock art,” the Now’s Tom Zillich wrote in a show preview story, published on Aug. 15, 2008.
