VIDEO: Riverdale stars step out to meet fans in Langley City

KJ Apa and Cole Sprouse took photos with patient fans waiting outside of Gabby’s Country Cabaret

Fans of the popular television series Riverdale were rewarded for their patience on Tuesday afternoon when Cole Sprouse, who plays Jughead, and KJ Apa, who plays Archie, stepped out to sign autographs and pose for photos.

The cast was back in Langley City filming at Gabby’s Country Cabaret on Fraser Highway.

Some fans were standing outside on the sidewalk for hours waiting for a glimpse of their favourite stars.

Asha Elmi and Matthew Joshi of Surrey had been at Gabby’s for two and a half hours before Sprouse walked outside to take photos. A friend who lives nearby told the two fans that the filming was going on.

“(Our friend) passed by and she saw this and we’re like, ‘Oh, hey, let’s go check it out,’” said Joshi.

“It’s exciting because you never think it’s going to happen, and then it does, and you’re like speechless for two minutes and then you’re like ‘OK, I’m good,’” Elmi added.

Filming of the show will continue at Gabby’s tomorrow (Sept. 20) as well.
