The Delta Police Department is asking for the public's help locating an 87-year-old woman missing from Ladner.

The woman, who is visiting from Ontario, left a home in the 5100-block of Bentley Dr. to go for a walk at around 10:30 a.m. Thursday morning (Nov. 14).

Police say she is not familiar with the area and does not have a cell phone, noting she is healthy and fit but suffers from significant memory loss.

"Family members are concerned that [name removed] has lost her way and will not be able to navigate her way back to the house," the department said in a press release Thursday afternoon.

The woman is described as an 87-year-old woman, 5’ 3” tall, with short brown hair and hazel eyes. She was wearing a brown khaki jacket with silver buttons (see photos atop this story) and black pants.

Ladner residents are asked to check their yards, carports and areas around their home in case she has sought shelter.

If you locate her, police ask that you remain with her and call the Delta Police Department at 604-946-4411. An officer will be dispatched immediately.
