Netflix Canada website features TV series filmed in Surrey

Dead Boy Detectives featured on Netflix in Your Neighbourhood

A new Netflix website that explores Canadian filming locations has launched three additions to the site, including a TV series filmed in several Surrey locations.

Filming for Dead Boy Detectives took place in Surrey, Langley, Vancouver, Richmond and Shirley, B.C., a release notes, with the Cloverdale branch of Surrey Libraries featured in the show, as well as Central City Fun Park and Ken’s Cafe & Restaurant.

The series follows the lives of teenage ghost best friends Edwin and Charles, who run the Dead Boy Detectives agency, where they solve paranormal mysteries.

Launched in 2021, Netflix in Your Neighbourhood and Netflix Chez Vous were created to help fans discover and explore the many Canadian filming locations for their favourite Netflix movies and shows.

The website is home to a collection of over 40 titles highlighting the landscapes and communities in which they were filmed. A one-stop-shop for planning the ultimate fan trip, Netflix in Your Neighbourhood also recommends must-visit tourist destinations and local businesses including culinary gems, charming accommodations, cultural institutions, photo-worthy landmarks and more.

Other television series listed on the site that were filmed in and around the Lower Mainland include Virgin River, Firefly Lane and Devil in Ohio, as well as major motion pictures including The Adam Project and Always Be My Maybe.
