Still time to get coveted Picnic on the Pier tickets in White Rock

Popular long-table dinner event takes place on city's iconic dock

Got plans for dinner tonight?

If not, there's still time for a few lucky people to get tickets for tonight's Picnic on the Pier, set to take place on White Rock's most iconic landmark this evening (Thursday, Aug. 8), in a sparkling sunset soireé that also, supports Peace Arch Hospital.

Several hundred guests are expected to indulge in a gourmet spread on White Rock's most iconic landmark, in a long-table dinner featuring Mediterranean-inspired cuisine catered by the Joseph Richard Group's Blank Canvas Catering. From truffle chive potato rolls and roasted tomato bruschetta to smoked West Coast salmon and slow-roasted Waygu eye of round among other menu offerings, guests will have a variety of mouth-watering options to enjoy.

Launched in 2016 by the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation, the picnic has raised more than $500,000 for critically needed medical equipment at the hospital.

Fred Lee is to return as MC, and live music is also on the menu, not to mention ocean-front views.

Landmark president and managing partner Ray Chen described the evening as a much-anticipated "summer fixture" that celebrates all that the hospital does for White Rock and Surrey.

Tickets are $225 and available until noon today (Aug. 8). To purchase, visit pahfoundation.ca/picnic
