Surrey RCMP hope public can help find missing man

Experienced outdoor enthusiast, 43, last seen in North Vancouver

Surrey RCMP is requesting public assistance in locating a missing person.

Scott Phillips, 43, was reported missing to police on Sept. 29. He was last seen on Sept. 27 at a business in the Park and Tilford Mall area in North Vancouver.

Police and family are concerned for Scott’s health and well-being, noted an RCMP release.

Scott is described as a Caucasian male, 6’1”, 200 pounds with short brown hair, brown eyes and multiple tattoos on his legs and arms including a distinctive tattoo of the word “OKAY” on his fingers of his left hand.

He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black shorts, sneakers and a dark hat.


Missing man

Scott may be driving his black Kia Sorento, British Columbia license plate WB3 54A and he is known to frequent the Cypress Mountain area, police said.

“Scott is an experienced outdoor enthusiast and he is known to camp in the backcountry” says RCMP Sgt. Tammy Lobb.

“We are asking the public to keep an eye out for Scott and his vehicle in the backcountry, on trails, or on forest service roads."
