The White Rock Farmers Market returns to its regular uptown location this Sunday (April 20), offering shoppers a vast variety of local goods, products and often, homemade or home-grown wares.
From cushionwork to colourful flowers, kettle corn to bath bombs, from cheese to beads to knife sharpening and woodwork, the market features more than 90 vendors every week, each with their own unique offerings.
A community-based market with a focus on locally grown farm produce, each market promises perusers the opportunity to browse baked goods, preserves, garden products, specialty food items like organic cheese, local seafood, vegan foods, gourmet dog biscuits, and unique crafts made by local artisans.
"Enjoy a cup of fair trade coffee (or take home a bag) while experiencing live entertainment and various activities in a charming atmosphere in the heart of uptown White Rock. We offer plenty of parking, mostly free, and we’re dog-friendly too," the market website notes.
White Rock Farmers Market also provides a weekly space for non-profit organizations and hosts ongoing monthly special events.
With more than 185 vendors, the market operate under a “make, bake, or grow” policy.
Markets run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Sunday from April 20 through Oct. 12 this year, at 15154 Russell Ave.
