Golf tournament celebrates kids

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Victoria and the Canadian World Education Society are hosting the first Kids Helping Kids Golf Classic

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Victoria and the Canadian World Education Society are teaming up to host the first Kids Helping Kids Golf Classic on June 27 at Olympic View Golf Course.

The tournament is a fundraiser for a youth leadership program operated by Big Brothers Big Sisters that sees young people in the community trained to take on a social role with vulnerable elementary school-aged children. The youth leaders also devote time and effort to work for the education of children at the Everest English School in Nepal.

Golfers can register individually or as a four-person team to play nine holes (4:30 p.m. start) or 18 (noon start). The fee is $100 per person for nine holes or $130 for 18 and includes a buffet dinner. Participants can also have dinner only for $35.
