Twenty-four army cadets from Surrey 1867 Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps (RCACC) Seaforth Highlanders participated in summer training at Vernon and Whitehorse Army Cadets Summer Training Centres in July and August.

M/Cpl. Kevin Bae received Top Cadet in the Drill and Ceremony Training Group and M/Cpl. Alycia Hargreaves received the Army Navy Air Force Veterans Association (ANAVET) Medal in Drill and Ceremony.
