It was an evening of glitter and glamour at the River Rock Theatre in Richmond on June 27 as Variety – The Children’s Charity recognized its longtime supporters at the 44th-annual Red Heart Awards dinner.
Surrey businessman Sherrold Haddad and his wife Marina received an Angel Award, which is presented to a person or group that has been a major benefactor to Variety.
Sherrold Haddad is a former president of Variety Manitoba and former board member of Variety BC. The couple are longtime supporters of Variety and have personally contributed thousands of dollars to the children’s charity over the years.
In total, 13 organizations and individuals, many having given more than 30 years of service and thousands of dollars to the cause, were honoured for their years of support.
