Thanks to a partnership with the Corporation of Delta and the Cougar Creek Streamkeepers, Heath Elementary (left) and Gibson Elementary schools in North Delta have two new rain gardens.
The gardens were planted by the Streamkeepers, the municipality and school staff and students.
Rain gardens benefit the environment by absorbing rain water from paved surfaces, which helps keep polluted water out of creeks and ravines.
