Sweet Adelines International’s Quartet Contest recently crowned the Region 26 quartet Martini (Burnaby’s Corinna Garriock, Georgia’s Michelle Shoemaker, Surrey’s Shannon Harris and Wisconsin’s DeAnne Haugen) as the 2012 Champions.
With a score of 2833, their nearest competitor scored 79 points less.
Eighth-place quartet, Frenzy, featuring Surrey tenor Kay Macrossen, also did well their first time performing on the international stage. Easy Street, featuring Surrey’s Shayna Steeves and Dana Woody, placed 29th at the worldwide competition.
