Circus thrills in Guildford again with return of Royal Canadian's int'l acts

Touring circus to stop in Surrey, Kelowna and Richmond this spring

Circus acts from around the world will be in Surrey for an all-new Royal Canadian International Circus on the weekend of May 8-11.

The touring circus returns for eight shows at Guildford Town Centre, where the Alberta company's 2,700-seat Bigtop tent will be set up again at 104 Avenue and 150 Street.

Royal Canadian is in competition with Florida-based Europa Super Circus, to debut locally Thursday to Sunday (May 1-4) at Elements Casino in Cloverdale.

For many years, Surrey has been a frequent tour stop for Royal Canadian International Circus, which did 19 shows at Guildford Town Centre last May. This year's B.C. tour includes stops in Surrey, Kelowna and Richmond.

Led by ringmaster Joseph Dominik Bauer, the show thrills with high-flying trapeze artists, a Double Wheel of Destiny, extreme motorcycle Globe of Death daredevils, aerial rola bola, acrobatics, juggling, clown comedy, trampoline and more. See the full roster of 2025 performers on the company website

Show times in Surrey are 7 p.m. Thursday, 4 and 7 p.m. Friday, at noon, 4 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 1 and 5 p.m. Sunday. The circus then moves to Richmond's Landsdowne Centre for a run of shows, May 15-19.

Tickets are sold on royalcanadiancircus.ca/buy/surrey, where buyes can use promo code NOW for two-for-one seats.
