Admission is free for four movies at Surrey’s Strawberry Hill and other local multiplexes on the morning of Saturday, Nov. 4.

That’s Cineplex Community Day, returning for an 11th year.

Across Canada the company’s theatres will open at 9 a.m. for a morning of free movies, then return to regular programming in the afternoon.

This year’s family-friendly movies include “Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile,” “Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation,” “Jumanji: The Next Level” and “The Angry Birds Movie 2.”

Also, popcorn, pop and certain candy can be bought for $2.50 each in support of BGC Canada, formerly Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada.

Visit Cineplex.com/Community for the list of theatres and show times. Movie-goers can reserve seats in advance for free online and in theatres, on a first-come, first-served basis.

New this year is a morning of free gaming at Playdium and The Rec Room locations, where guests will receive two-hour, non-redemption game bands.

In this region, Cineplex operates theatres in Surrey, Langley, Pitt Meadows, Richmond, Coquitlam, Abbotsford, Burnaby and Vancouver.
