Canada Votes: Who's running in Fleetwood-Port Kells

This Surrey riding has been held by the Liberals since 2015

There are many new faces running in the Fleetwood-Port Kells riding as the incumbent Liberal Ken Hardie is not seeking election.

The Fleetwood-Port Kells riding was formed in 2003 and was held by Conservative MP Nina Grewal, who won four consecutive elections until Liberal Ken Hardie defeated her in 2015, with 22,871 votes to her 14,275. Hardie has held the riding since 2015 and is not seeking to run again.

Although the riding has been around for a while, the boundaries were changed in 2023. The riding border is Highway 1 in the north to 148 Street in the west to 144 Street, then down 68 Ave along the Serpentine River to 80 Ave to 196 Street.

According to the 2021 census, the riding's population is 117,423. The independent electoral projection site 388 Canada projects that the Liberals will win in this riding.

Election day is Monday, April 28, and advanced voting takes place on April 18- 21. Voting at correctional institutions, including Surrey pretrial, takes place in April. 16.
