A man is in hospital with serious injuries after the bicycle he was riding was hit by a truck in Newton Wednesday (Sept 13), police say.

The flat deck truck was turning onto 148 Street from 64 Avenue at about 12:50 p.m. when the crash happened, according to a Black Press freelancer.
