UPDATE: Missing man found dead, police say

UPDATE: The man named in this story has been found dead, Surrey Police said on Jan. 22, 2025. His name has been removed for privacy reasons. The cause of death is not considered suspicious, according to police.

A man who just recently moved to Surrey has gone missing and police are appealing for the public's assistance in locating him.

The man, 29, was last seen near Surrey's Holland Park on Dec. 12 and was reported missing by his family on Dec. 16, according to a Surrey Police release.

He is described by police as a Caucasian male, six feet in height and weighs 180 pounds. He has short brown hair, a beard and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a beige-coloured hoodie and a grey and black hat.

The 29-year-old has connections to Abbotsford and Cranbrook and was new to Surrey. He often uses public transit and is often in the central city area of Surrey.

Anyone with information is asked to contact SPS by calling 911 and quote file number 2024-5151.
