Federal Green Party Leader Elizabeth May was in South Surrey Saturday to host a “meet and greet” event with South Surrey-White Rock Green candidate Larry Colero.
Supporters and members of the public filled Crescent Coffee House (12219 Beecher Ave.) for the 2:30-4 p.m. event. May is the fourth leader of a federal party to visit the riding in recent weeks.
Candidate and Christian Heritage Party Leader Rod Taylor participated in the Dec. 5 all-candidates meeting held at White Rock Community Centre; Liberal Party Leader Justin Trudeau toured the Five Corners neighbourhood in White Rock on Nov. 15 with candidate Gordon Hogg and was at Semiahmoo Secondary on Dec. 2; Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer visited on Nov. 15 to help launch candidate Kerry-Lynne Findlay’s campaign and again on Dec. 5 to visit a potato chip factory in South Surrey.
The by-election is to take place Dec. 11.
