A man charged last summer in connection with allegedly chasing a female in Ocean Park and threatening physical harm is set to appear in court next month for allegedly breaching bail conditions.

According to Surrey Provincial Court officials, Ricki Randall Taysup is expected to enter a guilty plea on March 10 in connection with an incident that occurred on Dec. 18, 2024.

Surrey Police Service media liaison Ian MacDonald did not have details on exactly what the breach entailed, but confirmed a warrant for Taysup's arrest was issued on Dec. 18, and said the arrest was executed six days later in another jurisdiction.

Conditions were imposed on Taysup following his arrest last July. That arrest followed a report of a June 22 incident in the 13600-block of 18 Avenue.

Taysup, 36 years old at that time, was charged with uttering threats.

The March 10 court date is also scheduled for Taysup's next appearance on the threats charge.

As of Friday (Feb. 14), Taysup remained in custody.
