UPDATE: In an update provided on May 3, police reported that the missing youth had been located safe.

Police are asking for the public's assistance in locating a missing 16-year-old North Delta boy.
(Name removed) was reported missing on Wednesday, April 30 at around 11 a.m., according to a Delta Police Department press release, and investigating officers have since exhausted leads with respect to places the youth has been known to frequent in the past.
He is an Asian male, 5’ 7” tall, with a slim build, short black hair and a mole on his left cheek. He was last seen wearing a black jacket with white inner fur lining, a black hoodie and grey sweatpants. He was also carrying a black carry-on-sized suitcase.
"(Name removed) presents cognitively and emotionally as a seven-year-old. He can become disoriented in unfamiliar environments," the DPD said in its release. "(Name removed) is very proficient in using the transit and is likely utilizing the system for transportation."
Anyone who locates the youth is asked to please remain with him and call the Delta Police Department at 604-946-4411.
