UPDATE: Missing 82-year-old man has been found and is safe

UPDATE (Sept. 1, 8:43 a.m.): Surrey RCMP say the missing 82-year-old man has been found and is safe. We have since removed his name and photo.

Police in Surrey are asking for help finding a 82-year-old.

Surrey RCMP say he was last seen Wednesday (Aug. 30) at about 8:22 p.m., leaving a business in the 18800-block of 72 Avenue in Surrey.

Police say he may present as confused or disoriented and his family is concerned for his health and well-being.

He is believed to be driving a 2009 White Dodge Journey with Alberta license plate BKF1310. The vehicle has black roof bars and a large dent on the front passenger-side door.

He is described as Asian, 5’2”, 120 pounds and he is balding. He was last seen wearing a Blue Jays baseball cap a white and blue Adidas windbreaker, a white polo shirt, black pants and black dress shoes.

If you see him, call police immediately and keep him within sight. Anyone with information is asked to call the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 and quote file 2023-146839.
