Hear from your Surrey MLA candidates at these local events:

  • The Surrey Board of Trade will be holding its Surrey Candidates Meeting on Wednesday April 26, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel at 15269 104 Ave. The topics will be public safety, the environment, industry and infrastructure, international trade, social policy, taxation and transportation. There will also be a question and answer period.
  • Surrey’s Downtown Business Improvement Association is staging its Surrey-Whalley All Candidates Meeting on Thursday, April 27 at SFU Surrey, at 13450 102 Ave., beginning at 6:30 p.m. This meeting is expected to run for two hours.
  • The Delta Chamber of Commerce will host an all-candidates meeting in North Delta on April 26. The meeting will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at North Delta Secondary School, at 11447 82nd Ave.
  • Sullivan Heights Secondary School at 6248 144th St. is holding an all-candidates meeting covering Surrey-Panorama and Surrey-Fleetwood on April 25, starting at 6 p.m.
  • Frank Bucholtz is moderating an all-candidates meeting for the Surrey-Fleetwood riding on Wednesday, May 3 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Fleetwood Christian Reformed Church (9165 160th St.). Organizers say all three candidates are confirmed: Tim Binnema (BC Green Party), Jagrup Brar (BC NDP) and Peter Fassbender (BC Liberal Party).
  • 107.7 PULSE FM is hosting live on-air candidate debates at 9 a.m. They are scheduled as follows: Wednesday, April 26 (Surrey-Whalley); Thursday, April 27 (Surrey-Fleetwood); Friday, April 28 (Delta-South); Monday, May 1 (Surrey-Guildford); Wednesday, May 3 (Surrey-Panorama); Friday, May 5 (Delta-North); and Monday, May 8 (Surrey-Newton).
