I am writing this letter as a young concerned Surrey resident.The issue that concerns me is all the recent gang violence and shootings that have happened all over Surrey and Delta.As a teenager, it worries me that the next person killed will be a friend of mine. All of these shootings - and the fact that my friend just passed away not too long ago - have made me realize that the life all these kids are living (selling drugs and doing who knows what) doesn't take you anywhere but jail or the morgue.I think parents can help prevent these crimes by being more aware of who their kids are hanging out with - and by making sure there are consequences for their children's behaviour.Bromyn Takhar, Surrey
