Body found in Maple Ridge school yard

Foul play is not suspected in the death of a man on a field at Golden Ears Elementary overnight.

The body of a man was found on the field of a Maple Ridge school early this morning.

Ridge Meadows RCMP are describing it as a sudden death, but said no foul play is suspected, at Golden Ears Elementary on 118th Avenue (near 232nd Street).

The coroner has been called in, and investigators are attempting to identify the man.

All that Mounties could say at this point was “it was not suspicious in nature.”
