The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken over a police investigation after a body was discovered in Surrey's Bog Park on Sunday afternoon.
Surrey RCMP received a report of a body at 9740 130 St. and discovered a deceased male, who was apparently a victim of a gunshot wound.
IHIT has identified the victim as 27-year-old Brendan Aditya Chand.
Police received reports from witnesses who reported hearing gunshots in the area as early as 10:30 p.m. on Saturday evening.
