CLOVERDALE — More than 5,000 people put on their sneakers Saturday for Color Me Rad, a five-kilometre run/walk held in Surrey for the first time.
Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheatre and the adjacent Cloverdale Fairgrounds were filled with bombs of powdered colour during the fun run, a for-profit event organized by a Utah-based company at places around the world.
A percentage of the $50 per-person entry fee will be given to the charity Keep A Breast Canada, whose volunteers helped blast participants with yellow, blue, purple and other colours at stations along the route.
