Cops investigate South Surrey home invasion

SOUTH SURREY — Police are investigating a home invasion-style robbery in South Surrey after two or three armed and masked men barged into a house late Wednesday afternoon.

The robbers booted in the rear door of a house in the 2400-block of 124th Street, just after five 5 p.m. but didn't get at the occupants - a 16-year-old girl and 18-year-old man - who ran out the front door.

Neither was physically injured. Police said the robbers ransacked the place. The ERT, or emergency response team, was called in but the robbers had already left.

Police believe the house was targeted and they are still looking for suspects.
