Dead man found in Surrey home

SURREY — A 60-year-old man was found dead in a home in Whalley on Tuesday afternoon and police cordoned off the residence for investigation.

This was in the 14100-block of 110th Avenue. Surrey RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit was called to the scene.

“At this point the cause of death is unknown,” Cpl. Scotty Schumann said. “Police will be conducting a thorough investigation as is the usual protocol for any out-of-hospital deaths. The name of the deceased will not be released at this time pending next of kin notification.”

The BC Coroner’s Service is also investigating.
